The EXPLORA III is the third of a fleet of only six luxury ships. This innovative ship combines Swiss precision and elegance with European craftsmanship.
The suites offer unrivalled views of the sea through floor-to-ceiling windows or from the private terrace.
The fourteen decks offer plenty of indoor retreats and the spacious outdoor decks offer three outdoor pools and 64 private cabanas on more than 2,500 square metres. A fourth pool is equipped with a glass sliding roof and allows swimming in all weathers. The wellness area with spa and fitness studio in the indoor and outdoor areas on over 700 m² completes the holiday experience.
The crew-to-guest ratio of 1:1.25 promises excellent service - not only in the nine different restaurants and the bars and lounges.
The EXPLORA III utilises environmentally friendly technologies to avoid emissions, is suitable for shore power supply, reduces underwater noise and does not use disposable plastic.

HOMES AT SEA

The 463 suites, penthouses and residences, all of which are located outside, continue the relaxed luxury and elegant European design. The experience of travelling by sea is intensely tangible here thanks to the floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows and glass terrace railings, because whether in the living or sleeping area or on the private terrace, sea views are guaranteed everywhere.

Ocean Suites
Between 35 and 39 square metres in size, two adults and one child up to the age of 18 enjoy exquisite design and exclusive living, from the private terrace and living area to the extensive pillow menu.

Ocean Penthouses
Between 43 and 68 square metres in size, two adults and one or two children up to the age of 18 or a third adult will find their perfect holiday home here. This category is also equipped with a dining and work area, and some of the bedrooms are separate.

Ocean Residences
Two adults and one or two children up to the age of 18 or a third adult live here in extreme luxury on 56 to 74 square metres and are pampered by butler service. A special feature is the sea view jacuzzi on the private terrace. The bedroom is always separate from the living area, dining area and work area with a large desk. Some Ocean Residences also have a guest bathroom.

Owners Residence
With 280 square metres, the Owners Residence promises the ultimate in comfort. Those staying here entrust their wishes to a private butler. The 125 square metre terrace of the Owners Residence stretches across the entire width of the ship at the stern. A glazed infinity pool is located right in the centre. If you take a dip here, you almost merge with the sea. Additional features: spacious lounge area, fireplace, steam bath and much more. Bookable for three adults or two adults and one or two children under the age of 18.

WELLNESS AND FITNESS
Your customers will tackle their transformation in the over 700 square metre indoor and outdoor wellness area, 270 square metre fitness area with state-of-the-art equipment, on the jogging track and ball sports field or in the fitness studio for group and individual training sessions. We also support them with wellness and fitness experiences on land, nutrition and sleep programmes.

POOLS AND OUTDOOR AREAS
So that you can experience the Ocean State of Mind, we have placed the element of water at the centre of the design of the EXPLORA I. The outdoor areas cover more than 6,250 square metres with spectacular sea views and numerous indoor and outdoor whirlpools along the promenade deck. There are also three outdoor pools, including an adults-only pool, 64 cabanas and a 1,200 square metre indoor pool with a movable glass roof for swimming and relaxing in all weathers, the largest and only one of its kind in the industry.

LOUNGES AND BARS
More than ten lounges and bars adapt to the time of day, are places to relax in a quiet alcove during the day and social meeting points in the evening for an exquisite drink with live music and curated performances.

CULINARY DELIGHTS
Nine fine, small restaurants spoil our guests with very different exclusive delicacies, from pan-Asian cuisine to steakhouse, from the chef's concept restaurant to the pool restaurant. Each celebrates internationally renowned culinary talents and emphasises sustainability and fresh, healthy ingredients, which we source from local partners. Of course, you decide when and where you would like to dine, away from fixed table times and even in-suite.

SUSTAINABILITY

We are strongly committed to protecting the oceans and our planet. The cruise division of the MSC Group participates in the voluntary environmental certification programme Green Marine Europe Label. Exemplary measures on board the EXPLORA fleet:

- We reduce nitrogen oxide emissions by 90 per cent with the latest SCR catalytic converter technology.
- In harbours, the ships obtain shore power from renewable energy sources whenever possible, provided the appropriate infrastructure is in place.
- We ensure that our ships fulfil the conditions of the voluntary RINA DOLPHIN certification and thus protect the mammals that live there through low noise emissions under water.
- We already have space on board for battery storage in order to switch to hybrid power generation as soon as this is technologically possible.
